Program Details

This course provides an introduction to the roles and responsibilities of a patient care technician. You'll learn about specific patient care techniques, as well as legal issues in healthcare, standard precautions you can expect to take, and infection control.

We'll cover medical terminology, physical examination, and how to work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You'll learn about patient positioning, bed mobility, transfer techniques, and range of motion, as well as therapeutic exercises, gait, assistive devices, orthosis, and prosthesis. We'll also discuss wound care, pressure sores, wheelchair management, patient care competency, and a range of special topics.

By the end of the course, you'll be ready to take the CPCT Level I certification exam. We'll even provide the voucher that covers the cost of the certification exam fee!
