Approved Ways to Use your MyCAA Program Scholarship Funds

So you’ve been approved. You’ve got a MyCAA scholarship for career training! As a military spouse, you already know what it’s like to support your family through deployments and moving duty stations. By furthering your education, now you can support them even more. What will MyCAA Scholarship Funds Pay for? You can use your funds for Tuition and exams leading to :
- an Associate's Degree (with some exclusions),
- A license, certificate or certification at an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States
- Or approved organization that expands employment or portable career opportunities for military spouses.
What will my MyCAA Funds NOT Pay for? The MyCAA career program will not pay for childcare, transportation, laptops or other equipment, books, supplies, and the like. Those are on you. However if you choose an online program like the ones that / provides, you can study online and complete your program from home. Without the need to go into a traditional school, you can save on childcare and transportation, to name a few. MyCAA will also not pay for things like entrance fees to exams not relevant to your specific training program, non-educational or ungraded exams, CLEP exams, course extensions (except with a hardship waiver), and non-concentrated liberal arts degrees.
