Meditec Instructor & Student Nominated for Prestigious Medical Transcription Awards at AHDI Conference

Meditec’s Instructor, Audrey Kirchner, and her student, Linda Curia, are nominated for three different medical transcription awards at the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity’s (AHDI) Healthcare Documentation Integrity Conference (HDIC), to be held this week in Las Vegas. Audrey has worked with Meditec for 3 years and is a key figure in developing our Medical Transcription program. She has worked in the transcription industry for over 18 years, and even owned her own transcription service. She also is heavily involved in AHDI and nominated for the Educator of the Year Award as well as the Excellence in Credentialing Award. Linda is a devoted student in our Medical Transcription program. After being laid off, she wanted to switch gears into an industry where she could really help people. She did some research and found Meditec’s Medical Transcription program and is now one of Audrey’s top students. She is nominated for AHDI’s Rising Star Award.
