Sallie Mae Student Career Training Loan - Process Overview:

PLEASE NOTE: The Sallie Mae Student Loan Program is NOT A GRANT. It is a LOAN program. If you are currently unemployed, under the age of 18, or you are only working part time, you will need a qualified co-signer. If you do not believe that you can qualify for a government loan, or you are unable to find a qualified co-signer, please allow Meditec.com to review possible alternative financing options.

Before you begin, you will need to gather together certain information that will be needed in the application process. We highly recommend that before you go any farther, that you go online and review the following information from Sallie Mae:
STEP 1 – Gathering Together The Essential Information Needed – Please have this information at the ready, both for the applicant and/or co-signer, before you proceed with the application:
  1. Social Security Number


  2. Date of Birth


  3. Current Driver’s License and/or Official State ID Card (Photo ID is required)


  4. Current Address Of Residence (P.O. Boxes are not allowed)


  5. Current Phone Numbers: Home, Work, Alternates


  6. Contact information for 2 Character References (Names, Addresses and Telephone Numbers)


  7. Current Employment Information (Name, Address, Telephone of the Employer and Gross and Net Income Information – You should have your last two paycheck stubs handy).


  8. Rent/Mortgage payment information (you will need to report what you are currently paying in rent/mortgage.


  9. Other financial obligations – we recommend that you make a list of all your current monthly payments/obligations, so that you have it available if needed for the application.


  10. After reviewing the information suggested above, please make sure you have everything you need in front of you before you begin.

STEP 2 – Gather Together The Information About The Training Course/Planned Purchase:

CALL Meditec.com or refer to the email sent to you by our enrollment coordinator to make sure you have all of the descriptions and pricing information.
  1. You will need the basic description of the training course/s you are purchasing and the total cost. NOTE: You will need to contact Meditec.com to obtain the total cost, as the retail price of your course may not include registration costs, shipping and handling or the costs of options or add-ons you may want: Meditec.com will send you an email that provides a complete breakdown of those costs and a total dollar amount for your loan application.


  2. You will need the State: Meditec.com is in “Utah”


  3. You will need the Provider Name: “Meditech, Inc” – Sallie Mae will pay us directly for the cost of your training course.


  4. You will need to provide the Start Date: This should be about two to three weeks from the date of the loan application.


  5. You will need to provide the End Date: This should be no more than six months in the future – six months from the Start Date.


  6. You will need the Disbursement Date: This should precede your Start Date by a couple of days.


  7. If you will be adding on additional items, such as computer or other equipment, books, etc. that are NOT being supplied by Meditec.com, you will also need to obtain specific details about those itema from the applicable vendor/s. Generally, these funds will be disbursed directly to you, and you will be responsible for paying those vendors.

STEP 3 – You’re ready to begin. Plan to give yourself at least 20-30 minutes of uninterrupted time in which to go through the online process.

Apply for the loan:

  2. From the available options, select: Career Training Loan, which will take you to the following screen:

  3. When Ready, click “Start your Career Training Loan application” at the bottom of that page.
