Shipping & Handling Policy
Hours of Operation:
Meditec's hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mountain Time [GMT -7]), Monday thru Thursday, and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Mountain Time [GMT -7]), on Friday, except holidays.
Order Processing:
Orders are processed during all hours of operations, on a first come, first served basis. It is our policy to make every effort to process all approved orders received by 12:00 PM (MT) Monday thru Thursday, or by 10:00 AM (MT) on Friday, for shipment on the same day*.
Orders received after 12:00 PM (MT) Monday thru Thursday, or after 10:00 AM (MT) on Friday, or otherwise outside of normal business hours or on holidays, will be processed on the next business day.
Credit approval delays and/or other credit card or loan processing issues, may also delay order processing and shipping. An order is not considered approved and ready for processing/shipping, until all applicable credit approvals and credit related issues have been resolved.
Meditec is not responsible for shipping delays due to any circumstances which are beyond our control.
* Order processing on the same day is subject to the availability of the product/s ordered.

Backordered or out-of-stock Items:
For backordered or out-of-stock items, Meditec may, at is sole discretion, ship a partial order, or hold the order until all items in the order become available. Criteria for whether a partial order is shipped or whether the order is held, will depend upon which item/s of the order are unavailable. For example, if the backordered item will not prevent the student from beginning the course, a partial shipment will generally be processed, but if the backordered item will not allow the course to begin, the order may be held until all items are available.
NOTE: Delays for backordered or out-of-stock items rarely exceeds one business day. If a longer delay is expected, Meditec will generally contact the customer to advise of the expected shipping date.
ALSO NOTE: Meditec will not deliver all items in a single shipment unless the customer has paid in full. Payment Plan customers will only receive those {minimum} items necessary to begin their course, and/or incremental deliveries, until the final payment has been received.
Upon arrival of the backordered item/s, processing of the order will be expedited within the office, but will otherwise be shipped by the carrier and/or method as was originally prescribed at the time of the order.
Carrier/Method and Surcharges:
Customers will have a number of shipping methods available, but Meditec reserves the right to select an alternate carrier to that which may be listed in the order checkout process. Due in part to the fact that LinkPoint (our electronic shopping cart provider) does not quote all rates and options for all carriers, the default options are listed for UPS. Customers may contact Meditec immediately after the order/checkout process is completed (no more than 24 hours or 1 business day later), to request other shipping options or methods which may be available, and any necessary adjustment to the charges will be made at that time. Unless the customer contacts Meditec prior to shipping to make other arrangments, Meditec retains the right to make changes to the carrier in order to provide the best delivery available at the quoted rate.
[6/1/2006: Due to recent events on the world oil market] -- Shipping rates in the order and checkout process may not include carrier "fuel surcharges". In the event that additional "fuel surcharges" are added by the carrier, the customer will be contacted and advised of the corrected shipping charges, and will have the option of selecting an alternate shipping method. Never-the-less, all such "fuel surcharges" shall be paid by the customer were applicable.
Overnight Delivery:
Customers requesting overnight delivery understand that the availability of overnight service depends on the customer's geographic location, and while it may be possible to select this shipping method during the order/checkout process, determination of service availability cannot be guaranteed at the time the order is placed. If (after the order is placed), it is determined that overnight service is not available to the customer's location and/or is not available from the designated carrier, to that location, Meditec will contact the customer and make whatever arrangments are necessary or applicable based on the customer's location. IF this new shipping method results in a lower shipping charge, the customer will either 1) receive a credit, for credit card orders that included payment in full, or 2) the difference will be applied to the next payment due for payment plan customers. IF this new shipping method results in a higher charge than was processed on the original order, the customer may, at his/her option, elect not to use that shipping method, but will otherwise agree to pay the additional charges.
Delivery Timeframe:
For all shipments, shipping methods, and carriers, the delivery timeframe begins when Meditec staff receive and begin processing the approved order, and not at the moment the shopping cart order button is clicked. For example, an electronic order form may be completed at 10:00 AM (MT) on Friday, but due to delays in transmitting the order from the shopping cart to the order processing staff, and/or delays or other credit card approval issues, such as verification of card holder names, PIN numbers, shipping and billing addresses mis-matches, etc., Meditec cannot guarantee that the order will be processed for shippment on the same day that the order form was transmitted.
Delivery Problems/Signatures:
Meditec shall not be held responsible for delivery delays or other problems related to the inability of the carrier to obtain a signature, whether this signature requirement is one imposed by the carrier or as specified by Meditec or the Customer or both. Meditec is not reponsible for delivery delays or for items returned as undeliverable, when the delays or returns result from an incomplete address, or where the package may be refused, or is otherwise undeliverable due to other circumstances beyond our control. The customer shall be fully responsible for any additional shipping charges, postage due, or other charges associated with reshipping or repeatedly delivery attempts.
This policy is effective as of 1/1/2003 and will be updated periodically as needed, but is subject to change without notice. The terms of this disclosure are included and incorporated by reference into the enrollment agreement. If the customer has any questions regarding current shipping options, updates, or charges, they should contact our toll-free number prior to placing an order, or within (no more than) 1 business day after an order is placed.
