Great news from a graduate:

I took the Paralegal/Legal Transcriptionist combo course and actually amazed myself! I went into this as my own biggest enemy because I doubted myself. I felt like I had too much on my plate, working a full time job, taking care of two kids on my own, working out and then trying to further my education.

With the support from Meditec.com's staff, I not only completed my course, but I did so with honors. This school is definitely recommended for anyone who is interested in going into the Legal field. And my best word of advice would be to pace yourself and finish on your own time & discipline yourself to stay on a schedule.

Good luck everyone.

Way to go and congratulations going out to Brandy! The GREAT thing about self-paced online learning is that you can study when you have time. Women especially have so many roles in life- wife, mother, employee, etc. Adding student to the list can be stressful and intimidating but with self-paced online learning it is doable!

That is great! I am on Ch.9 on LT and I am taking the LT/Paralegal Combo Course.

I would like to know if you purchased the pretest materials before your exam. I am worried I will score 84%, and that is unacceptable.

I would appreciate any advice (that is not prohibited here) you could give regarding studying for the test.

It doesn't appear that there are very many students taking the legal side of Meditecs studies - or if they are, they aren't on this message board.

Congrats again!

Melissa

Hi Melissa,

We have good enrollment in all of our courses but most of our students just don't hang out on the forum much. I wish they did. I guess that most are working, have kids, and just getting in time to study is difficult.

As for pretest materials... You don't need them. The exams are all open book and you are given 2 hours to take them, which is plenty of time. If you fail the exam, we will coach you, and you can retake it. Don't worry. Do the best you can! : ) We are here for you every step of the way.

Dawn,

Thanks for the info - I just didn't know what to expect. I have finished everything in LT, except transcription - waiting for supplies. Starting PL tomorrow.

I figure when books get here I will read and highlight because I flew through the entire LT - so better read again before test.

Thanks again!
Melissa

I am really excited for you! You've worked really hard and I bet it feels good to be nearing completion! I always study again before a test. I go over my notes and I try to think like the person who developed the test. Hmmmm, what would I put on this test? : ) I'm sure you will do really well.
